Get Assistance Signing up for Medicaid! 

In a recent article published by NPR, it was stated that 100 million suffer from some kind of medical debt. This makes it sound as though it is unavoidable, but it’s not – with help from Neighbor by Neighbor! Call our new social worker, Jessica Kidwell-Saboski to see if you qualify for Medicaid for you and your family. She will do a confidential review to see if you qualify for free health care, or whether you qualify, under the Affordable Care Act, to have a reduction in what you pay for medical care. Jessica comes with 20 years of social work experience and will be able to help you with this, as well as many other forms of assistance. You can contact her at 269-256-4502!

 Need Help? You’re not alone! 

Getting help has never been easier! Beginning July 16, a new suicide prevention line will be in use. The number, 988, is much simpler to remember than the original line, which was a full-length phone number. 988 will allow callers to speak with a trained counselor, with the goal of connecting them with resources that are local to them. Callers are also able to call 988 for a friend/family member/co-worker, etc. who they feel is at risk. Calls will be completely free and all information will be kept confidential. The national suicide prevention line will still be in effect, but 988 is another great resource to use!
